Welcome
My name is Tim Moratto, for generations my family has called Sonoma County home. I am running for Tribal Council because I believe that by working together we can preserve what makes our tribal family and community special while building a better future for generations to come.
Background
Education
I graduated from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California with a degree in economics and business administration, with an emphasis in accounting. I became a licensed Certified Public Accountant soon after college.
Career
I had a very successful career in public accounting and business consulting. I was an owner and tax partner in one of the largest regional accounting and advisory firms in the North Bay. I advised businesses throughout the United States.
Experience
I spent 8 years serving the tribe as Treasurer of the Graton Economic Development Authority Board. During this time I learned all about the gaming business and how our Graton Resort and Casino operates.
I am running for Tribal Council because I am the most qualified for this position given my business background and the knowledge I gained while serving on GEDA. I have the skills and expertise to make critical decisions that are in the best interest of both the tribe and our casino, while also recognizing our tribal citizens needs and aspirations. I believe we must all work together to create a brighter future for all generations.
Change amongst council members is normal, healthy and good for our tribe. It fosters fresh thinking, creativity and innovation, while building on existing ideas to create something even better.
Now that I am retired I have the time, the desire and would welcome this opportunity to serve you further. I am asking for your vote so I can share my knowledge and give back to our tribe and all of you. If elected I will serve you with full transparency, honesty, and a deep commitment to our shared values and the needs of our citizens.
