About Tim Sedgewick

Timothy Sedgwick Jr. is a dedicated native of the Tri-County area, with deep roots in Berkeley and Charleston counties. Growing up as one of ten siblings, Tim experienced the challenges of the foster care system before finding his forever home in middle school. His upbringing instilled in him a strong sense of faith, resilience, and community values, which continue to drive his commitment to public service.

After excelling academically at R.B. Stall High School, Tim pursued higher education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he studied Aeronautical Science. His journey then led him back to Charleston, where he found his calling in the development industry.

In 2004, Tim married the love of his life, Holly Hicks, and together they have two children, Savannah and Hudson, who currently attend schools in Hanahan. Their family's bond is the bedrock of Tim's dedication to building a better future for Berkeley County.

Tim's commitment to serving his country led him to join the SC Army National Guard, where he attended Palmetto Military Academy (OCS) in Class 63. He served with distinction for 8 years, attached to the 218th MEB HHC in Charleston, SC, honing his leadership skills and sense of duty to his community and nation.

Throughout his military service and career in the development industry, Tim has remained steadfast in his dedication to his family, his community, and his country. His experiences have shaped him into a compassionate and determined leader, ready to tackle the challenges facing Berkeley County head-on.

Family
